Out Now: Shine Some Light - A Benefit for Dan Lang-Gunn
Dan Lang-Gunn (of Kill.normal.records, The Flaming Tsunamis and
Infamous Jake) collapsed on stage about a year ago with his newest
band The Modern Day Saint (eyeball records). He suffered what was
more or less a massive heart attack, and after being revived slipped
into a coma. He is now recovering, and re-learning how to walk,
talk, and do all the things you do in your daily life. We put together
a 2 Disc comp to help raise money for his rehabilitation.

Upcoming Releases for the New Year!
This year promises to see more releases from us than in any
year prior!
Tip the Van's first full length is being sent to the pressing plant
as we speak and will be available shortly. The album was recorded
at Cook Street Sound in Brooklyn NY by Ted Wohlson (of CT Hardcore
Legend BiG MiSTAKE). The album will feature ten tracks including
reworked versions of several songs off their demo, as well as the
new tracks theyve been playing out in the latter part of this year.
Be sure to catch the band at the Webster Theatre this Dec/Jan opening
for the Catch 22 Xmas show, and for the Less Than Jake / A Whilhelm
Scream show.
We proudly announce the release of a limited edition split 7"
from Bomb the Music Industry (members of ASOB, HSFH, and BERET!)
and The Rick Johnson Rock and Roll Machine (atom and his package-esque
rockage from Mustard Plug's Rick Johnson). Entitled the Limited
Edition President's Day 7" will be a numbered run of 200 copies
on colored vinyl. All profits from the sale of this record will
go to our continuing raising of funds for our good friend Dan Lang-Gunn's
recovery.
Also we're finishing up our collecting of tracks for the long awaited
Dan Lang-Gunn Benefit album. The yet untitled collection will feature
2 discs of some of the best punk/ska/indie/hip hop/rockabilly from
some old friends and some amazing new ones who signed on to help
the cause. We arent releasing the lineup to we have final confirmation
from all the other labels involved, but trust us, we can't even
believe the lineup. This CD has been financed by a super generous
donation from Fat Wreck Chords artist and all around amazing people
Against Me!, and an all day benefit show thrown by us with our good
friends from CTska.com. All proceeds from the sale of this record
are going to help Dan's recovery from a Heart Attack, and his hopefully
speedy return to the stage.
And yet another compilation.. The SKApacalypse! will be a 2 disc
set covering the return of the underground ska scene. In the tradition
of the old Moon ska compilation series Skamageddon, Will feature
roughly 40 bands from all over the country.. more news to follow! |
